Can't believe It's 6 Months

I can't believe it's 6 months since I updated on Lime!
We've been adding products quietly but steadily and changes are afoot on the admin side  - We're changing our payment options so that customers can pay either by Paypal or separately through the Sagepay payment Gateway rather than only going through Paypal.
On the product front we've expanded our commercial toilet seat offer with a number of new Bemis seats including the new PNC hospital toilet seat which is a low maintenance seat with a seal that improves hygiene in hospitals whilst reducing both cleaning and servicing costs.
Water saving is another area of growing importance and the range has increased with more precision products from Neoperl where we have just added tap spout aerators which stop the tap using more than 5 litres/minute no matter how strong the water pressure.

Tap Shrouds

They might only be a small item but these valve shrouds are really useful - they'll fit onto the valve to cover it and hide the workings.
They normally go with traditional styles but have an M24 thread which will fit both 1/2" and 3/4" valves.

Wirquin Nano Wastes

Wirquin are one of the great innovators in the bathroom market coming up with ideas that make bathroom products easier to use or quicker to fit.
Their latest product that we have added are their 'Nano' all in one basin wastes - they're quick to fit, include the trap and best of all save a lot of space under the basin.

Lab Taps & Sinks

We've been steadily increasing our range of laboratory taps and sinks - water taps, gas taps and special acid resistant sinks.
The latest addition to our range is an extra wide  sink that features 2 drainers. Although our lab range is clearly aimed at the laboratory and schools market, we are finding these products also going into areas such as food processing, dental markets and even cosmetic salons.

Water, Energy & carbon Reduction

The fact is that there are a lot of small simple steps that can be taken to reduce water consumption without any detrimental effects.
It's not uncommon to see reductions of 50% and we've made a few product suggestions to help - products that can be used in kitchen, showers or just fitted to any taps.

A very useful plumbing part to connect different sized female threaded fittings is a reducer nipple (sometimes also call a reducing nipple).
We've added 2 sizes - one that reduces from 3/4 to 1/2 and the other that reduces from 1/2 down to 3/8 which is a common European size.
We've gone for the premium end of the market with ours made from chrome plated solid brass.

Hard To Find Tap Levers

We've just added our Premier tap levers to our tap handle range.
The interesting feature with these levers is that they fit onto 24 spline valves which is actually something that's very hard to find. We do offer a couple of handles to fit the 24 spline valves but haven't had any levers up till now.

Under Counter Bar Tap

As part of the growing range of commercial and catering taps available form Lime, here's our solution for restaurants and bars that need an under counter tap that is much lower height than standard.
Made by Monolith, it is an ultra low height commercial/catering tap with a height of only 106mm to fit in restricted spaces where normal height taps would be too tall.

WRAS approved medical taps

We've launched our UK made range of Hart Performa medical taps.
These are WRAS approved medical taps made in conjunction with the Francis Pegler groupEach tap is assembled and packed by our parent company Hart Home Interiors and sold exclusively by us and our group companies - they are not available anywhere else.
Each tap is suitable for any water pressure and with the WRAS approval can be fitted in any commercial building

Tap Aerators To Prevent Legionella

There have been numerous articles concerning bacterial buildup in tap aerators. In particular prevention of Legionella and pseudomonas is a key concern in both hospitals and care units for the elderly.
We are delighted to introduce our clinic line tap aerator sets as a frontline tool in combatting these infections. The sets contain 4 colour coded aerators that should be changed regularly so work on two fronts:
1. Each aerator produces a laminar flow thus avoiding the introduction of airborne matter into the water stream
2. By implementing a programme of regular changeover, there is no long term build up of (infected)  material behind the aerator.

Marfow Taps

Can't wait to get our new Marflow taps ranges live - we've got everything needed (images, tech details etc) so expect to have the listsings finalised this week.
The market seems to be awash with cheap Chinese rubbish so we'll be pushing them for their quality, genuine low pressure performance and superb build quality. Anyone who appreciates these values is the sort of customer we want

SHTM64

We've had numerous calls from clinics in Scotland saying that Health Facilities Scotland are setting new requirements for hand washing sanitary equipment.
It's a good thing but the requirements are not clear and the advice given to practices seems inconsistent.
So to cut through the confusion and help advise customers what equipment (sinks, taps etc) are needed, we've produced an easy to understand guide that we hope will help take away some of the confusion & concerns: SHTM64 Sanitary Guidelines

Cistern spares

We've improved our cistern spares category (well at least we think so) by separating out cistern spares into two sections: cistern spares which was the original category that contained everything now contains flushing spares such as the flush and fill valves, seals and fixings and Handles & Levers which is the new category to contain the cistern levers handles and pulls.

Paddle Shower Handsets

We've introduced Spanish made Paddle Shower Heads to our shower handset range.
Available in square or rectangular styles, these feature rich luxury heads include rub clean anti limescale nozzles, water saving eco systems and a special mechanism that combines the water with air to produce a soft luxurious champagne style jet.
They're due in from Spain middle of January

Catering & Medical Work Tables

To meet the demand from healthcare and food industry users, Lime have introduced a range of work tables designed to be sited against the wall.
The tables range in size from 600mm wide up to 1500mm width and are made from pure 304 grade stainless steel to suit the high hygienic standards required by medical and food industry users.
Each table incorporates an integral upstand to produce a hygienic splashback when butted against the walls.

Extended Inta Taps range

Timed flow (non concussive) taps are being increasingly specified as they are both water and energy saving. In addition the limited timed flow means that the risk of flooding is minimised - something that is particularly relevant in commercial washrooms and schools.
To meet this demand, we have expanded the Inta taps range of timed flow taps available from stock for immediate despatch.

Timed Flow Lever Shower

New (and unique) to the UK, we are delighted to offer our special  lever timed flow shower control with easy use joystick lever operation.
It just requires a push of the lever in any direction to produce a timed flow shower.
The design combines water and energy saving with ease of use so not only is it suitable for public use, it also makes showering considerably easier for the elderly and less abled who can operate it using hand, wrist arm or elbow with ease.

Commercial Low Pressure Taps

Our latest addition are specially made low pressure taps with special spray nozzles for use with limited/low pressure water supplies.
These taps are fitted with unique nozzles that produce a wide needle like spray which looks good whilst actually using very little water thus being ideal for washrooms with either very low pressure or with limited water available such as in trains, coach toilets or portable toilet.

Proximity Taps

We've created a new category - Proximity Taps
This allows us to move out the touch activated electronic taps together with new Capacitive 'proximity' taps made by Pegler Performa.
The exciting benefit of proximity/capacitive taps is that they work by simply breaking the force field close to the tap. This means it's not affected by light conditions, dirt on the sensor panel or even high vis clothing.

Anti-Microbial Taps

People like the look of chrome taps - the surface is glossy, smooth and looks good. But where  infection prevention is concerned it's not the best.
If you're after fighting bacteria, then copper surfaces are out in front.They may not have the same appealing surface but they're proven to kill 99.9% of bacteria within 2 hours of contact.
So for those customers looking for as many areas as possible for controlling the spread of infection, we've added healthcare grade basin and sinks taps in copper to our Pegler Performa+ collection: Anti-Microbial Copper Taps
